ARCHITECTURE

TOPIC

Pick-up & Dine-in Restaurant

DESCRIPTION

Bon Bon is a Pre-order restaurant focused on two parts: Pick-Up and Dine-In.

The Phone food concept is a reflection upon current restaurant situations and its potential improvement through architectural languages.

The pre-order pick-up procedure has been merely the interface between restaurant and customers, while experiences on both sides during the process have not been properly explored and interacted.

The pre-order dine-in has been a service that optimizes restaurants’ preparation process and customers’ dining experience, while customers’ experience of approaching the restaurants and varied dining experiences is yet to be explored.

The separation of the project into two categories provided the opportunity to explore two architectural functional languages under the same aesthetic choice and perceptual experience. While the play of perception experiences experiment this project as an urban integration.

The Phone food---pre-order pick-up and pre-order dine-in restaurant was an exploration into perceptual play and aesthetic choice under different functions. The spectacle of arrival or walking through discreted objects were intended to be the primary experiences, which gave the opportunity to experiment with simulation tools, to express different speed in geometries and subjects. It is articulated as ‘food to people’, and ‘people to food’.
